SUMMARY:Fundraising\, Marketing\, and Communications: Successes and Challenges in 2022 
DESCRIPTION:Register				\n							\n		Do you work in fundraising\, marketing\, or communications at a human services organization? Then this session is for you! These essential functions often take a back seat to the programmatic functions of the organization. Connecting with peers doing similar work across the country to exchange ideas can provide great value and support. Join us for this initial session of the Fundraising\, Marketing\, and Communications (FMC) SPARK Exchange group\, a new iteration of a group that’s been benefiting FMC professionals for more than 12 years.  \nThis interactive\, facilitated session will use a round robin format to invite everyone who wishes to briefly share a recent success and/or challenge. Then we will have discussion on the topics raised as time permits. She became president and CEO in January 2014\, and is responsible for overall direction\, leadership\, and coordination of organizational activities. The former president of The Family Place\, Darnall helped lead the merger with Family & Children First in 2008\, which created Family & Children’s Place. She has served in leadership roles for more than 30 years. \nDarnall is also the chair of the Kentucky Recovery Ready Community Council and is a member of Louisville Metro Government Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinating Council. She serves on the Center for Non Profit Excellence Board of Directors and was named a Business First Most Admired CEO in 2021. Darnall holds a master’s in counseling psychology from Spalding University in Louisville\, Kentucky. She has co-chaired Social Current’s Fundraising\, Marketing\, and Communications SPARK Exchange (previously APEX group) since 2019 and joined in 2014.
