Budgeting for Impact: Nonprofit Budget Essentials

Sandra Magri, CPA has worked with YPTC since 2021 and is a manager in the New England market. She is a member of YPTC’s Federal Awards Management Group and is passionate about helping nonprofit organizations. Prior to YPTC, Magri spent many years in public accounting, often auditing federal awards, and she has worked as a controller in small, local nonprofit organizations. She has served as treasurer of her local PTO and in other capacities on various boards of directors. Magri graduated from Merrimack College with a bachelor’s in business administration, with a concentration in accounting.

Brittany Asay is a dedicated accounting professional with a strong background in nonprofit accounting and management. Holding a master’s in business administration and bachelor’s in accounting and management, she possesses a solid educational foundation, combined with extensive practical experience in the nonprofit sector. Having spent 15 years in progressive roles within nonprofit accounting departments, Asay has developed a deep understanding of financial management within the context of mission-driven organizations. She has successfully navigated the unique financial challenges and compliance requirements that nonprofits face, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility and strategic financial planning.
