Leadership and Organizational Development

Intercultural Competency Assessment and Consulting

To foster a healthy workplace culture that emphasizes trust, collaboration, and belonging, it is essential for social sector leaders to understand how they perceive and respond to cultural differences. The Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®), administered by Social Current, will uncover valuable and actionable information about your strengths and opportunities for growth when interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Social Current’s responsive and customizable consulting will support you in translating the assessment’s findings into action. We have deep expertise in leadership and organizational development, and we will co-create a plan with your team that utilizes your results to improve organizational culture, staff retention, and engagement.

Consultation and Support from Social Current

Once each person on your team has completed the IDI®, a member of the Social Current consultation team, who is a IDI® Qualified Administrator, will present your aggregate results. They’ll facilitate a dialogue on the group’s position within the intercultural development continuum and the implications and opportunities for the organization.

In addition, each team member receives a 45- to 60-minute debrief meeting with Social Current to review your individual results and provide guidance on how to meet your individual development goals.

Through regular check-ins, your organization will outline and execute its plan of activities to build strengths and make strides based on assessment results. Intercultural skills development activities will occur over a nine-month period and can include: Book clubs, Brown Bag Lunch and Learns, workshops, group discussion/coaching, and more.
