Free Training and Technical Assistance Opportunity for Law Enforcement Agencies
Social CurrentThe Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, and Social Current are offering free training and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies looking to improve workforce retention and officer well-being. This 18-month initiative has 12 spots for law enforcement agencies to join. All types of agencies are welcome, including but not limited to:
- Municipal police
- Sheriff’s departments
- Tribal agencies
- School district police departments
- Juvenile and youth corrections
- Corrections officers
- Transit police agencies
During this initiative, agencies will learn and grow together. Social Current’s technical assistance team will introduce hope-centered and trauma-informed frameworks and principles related to equity, diversity, and inclusion that will help the agencies better address trauma and adversity to improve their workforce.
