During this focus group, we will explore current social sector workforce challenges, the conditions that create or inhibit the financial health of the sector, the role of evidence-based practice in strengthening the sector, and more. Social Current is currently leading a highly inclusive and collaborative process to engage its network in developing its federal policy agenda for 2022-2024. The agenda-setting process will determine the federal policies and issues of focus for our network’s collective policy and advocacy work.

During this focus group, we will explore our sector’s role in advancing health equity. We will discuss how, through the lens of the social determinants of health, our sector can contribute to improved health and well-being and greater health equity in our communities. In addition, we will identify the policy interventions that are needed to help us reach these goals. Social Current is currently leading a highly inclusive and collaborative process to engage its network in developing its federal policy agenda for 2022-2024. The agenda-setting process will determine the federal policies and issues of focus for our network’s collective policy and advocacy work.

During this focus group, we will explore child and family well-being through the lens of the child welfare, behavioral health, and justice systems and discuss the policy issues that are important to our network in this space. In addition, this focus group will address how we can create conditions to incentivize providing prevention and supports to families. During this focus group, we will discuss the economic conditions currently impacting our communities and the ways in which policies could be changed to improve economic mobility and security. During this focus group, we will explore the sector’s role in early childhood education, current challenges faced by our network, and how educational equity can support economic empowerment. Social Current is currently leading a highly inclusive and collaborative process to engage its network in developing its federal policy agenda for 2022-2024. The agenda-setting process will determine the federal policies and issues of focus for our network’s collective policy and advocacy work.

During this focus group, we’ll talk about how to achieve equity through better access, power sharing, resources, and data.
