This webinar will introduce Social Current’s SPARK Exchanges, formerly Alliance Peer Exchange (APEX) groups. Through Social Current, SPARK Exchanges unite social sector professionals around functional roles and key issue areas to collaborate, share and/or access resources and solutions, discuss emerging trends, and receive policy updates and action opportunities. Facilitated by staff at Social Current, SPARK Exchanges provide specialized advice from peers throughout the country, as well as rich, timely content delivered through conference calls, webinars, discussion boards, and in-person and virtual networking events.

Join African American male leaders from the sector as they dive into the historical value of Black August and discuss the long-lasting effects of systemic oppression we see today in communities. Discuss the challenges and opportunities for freedom and equity in communities of color that support voices that call for justice.

Quality care and access for special populations and communities is essential yet remains a challenge for many today. During this webinar, Mary Garr will share and define who are special populations, the challenges of health access for these populations, and what factors contribute to systems that are meant to ensure quality care for all.
